Oriental Galleries was established in 1991 by Michael Dietvorst. The Oriental Gallery has selling outlets at several of the major hotels on the island, including Le Royal Meridien Baan Taling Ngam and The Tongsai Bay.

The company brings forth unique treasures from across Thailand, Burma and other countries in the Orient. Its collection includes Arts and Antiques, Handcrafted Teakwood Furniture, Traditional Handcrafts and original Burmese Paintings. It offers Eastern inspired handicrafts and accessories which serve as real showpieces for your home décor. Handmade art crafts, based on traditional or authentic designs and always a well crafted accessory, you can bring a little bit of the Orient to your house or workplace with a selection of these unique pieces.

The Gallery has a wide selection of brass and elephant bells. These are all reproduction pieces. A very special item displayed here is the Buddha's Hand - Flower And Incense Holders. This is made using a chemical resin. The design is inspired by the shape of Buddha's hand. The collection displayed here is varied and uses many mediums – water color, pastel, charcoal and oil. The images depict many scenes 'typical' from Burmese life including - Burmese Monks in their vivid orange or red robes; Market Scenes bustling with activity and color; Temples and Pagodas.
